Beautifully designed by Erwan & Ronan Bouroullec for Samsung, SERIF TV is a new project that links product design and interaction design.
Beside its specific shape, SERIF TV is the first TV ever that produces generative art out of any video stream.
Based on the idea that generative transformations could be applied anytime, like if we were pulling a magic curtain over the screen, this specific filter creates an abstract feedback of the live content and is also used as a graphical User Interface's background.
One SERIF's specificity is its back made out of fabric with random rectangle shapes.
The idea was to use the very same structure as graphic pattern and transform it with simple parameters.
The User Interface has been reduce to its minimum, giving access to simple services such as a clock, a bluetooth speakers, webTV apps and access to external storage devices.
